Earn Rewards While Reducing Strain on the Grid
The Smart Thermostat Rewards program gives you a simple way to save money while strengthening the energy grid and supporting a more efficient future. You’ll receive a $25 rebate when you enroll, plus another $25 each year you participate in the program.
How does it work?
On high-demand days—a hot summer day, for example—electricity use spikes, which can strain the grid. Smart Thermostat Rewards helps ease that strain through brief “energy events” that make small, temporary thermostat adjustments. These changes are minor for each participating home, but when many people take part, the impact is significant.
Participants are notified before each energy event, and your home will always stay within a few degrees of your usual settings. If you ever want to opt out of an event, you can.
You must be an active Dominion Energy residential electric customer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Participating customer must be the party that is responsible for the electric bill.
- Customer is eligible for product purchases with rebates applied to the purchase price during the Program time period for (i) up to four of any of the following: ENERGY STAR® Air Purifier, ENERGY STAR® Bathroom Vent Fan, ENERGY STAR® Dehumidifier, ENERGY STAR® Water Dispenser, Advanced Power Strip, Spray Foam and (ii) up to twelve of Air Filters and (iii) up to two of Smart Thermostats.
- Customer must live in a single-family home (house, townhouse, mobile home).
- Customer's home must have a heat pump (air source, ductless mini-split, or geothermal).
All sales final except for:
